John Riel Casimero (21-3, 13 KO) will have his chance at the flyweight title when he faces Amnat Ruenroeng (17-0, 5 KO) of Thailand in a rematch on May 5, in China.
Casimero hasn't fought since his unanimous but close decision loss in a foul-marred match against Ruenroeng.
Ruenroeng was branded, especially by the Philippine boxing media, as the dirtiest fighter for excessive clinching and over a dozen throwdowns. The scores were 116-110, 115-110, and 113-112, which were close enough to warrant a rematch.
Ruenroeng won a unanimous decision since then when he defended his title against Myung Ho Lee.
