Number 5. Guillermo Rigondeaux 16-0-0 (KO 10) – Jr. Featherweight
One of the most avoided, fighter at the Jr. featherweight division because of his superior technical boxing skills. He’s having solid tactical offensive and defensive skills.
His defense was fundamentally set on extraordinary footwork and understanding distance, which opponent finding him too difficult to hit and engage.
Rigondeaux’s pin-point punching offense made him likely to cruise to a unanimous decision, but he’s also capable of pressing the action if he needs to. He stepped up his offense against Nonito Donaire in the 12th Round after he was knockdown in the previous round in their 2013 match.
A rematch with Donaire could be possible. Donaire called Rigo out after knocking out Zsolt Bedak in round 2 in the Philippines.
